We are pleased to inform you that the 1st International Conference on Computational Approach in Smart Systems Design and Applications (ICASSDA 2018) will be held in from 15 - 17 August 2018 HILTON HOTEL, Kuching, Sarawak Malaysia .

ICASSDA 2018 welcomes any innovative ideas in the use of automation technology to create new values and transform a community with a better vision of the future. Participants are expected from universities, research institutes, industries, private and government organizations, and professional societies from various countries around the world. All papers will be selected to submit for inclusion to publish in Scopus proceeding. All the accepted papers will be published for the inclusion in IEEE Xplore.

    The 1st International Conference on Computational Approach in Smart Systems Design and Applications (ICASSDA 2018) provides a forum for presentation and discussion of the state of current research in Robotic Automation Systems Engineering.     ICASSDA2018 only accepts novel, previously unpublished papers. All papers will be subject to a rigorous peer-review process. For all submissions we accept only Word Files. (Exception: If you are working in LaTex, then please submit a PDF file) by using the template below. Each full paper should not exceed 8 pages. Download the template: ICASSDA TEMPLATE


    Authors are requested to kindly restrict from plagiarism in any form. Authors should submit their original and unpublished research work not under consideration for publication elsewhere.

    Camera Ready Paper Submission (IEEE eXpress PDF)

    The below instructions are essential to ensure that you comply with the publication requirements set by IEEE in order for your paper(s) to be included in the conference proceedings and published and indexed by IEEE. The conference organizers will not be responsible if your paper is omitted from the proceedings, is not available online on IEEE Xplore, or is subject to additional processing costs, if these steps are not performed. IEEE reserves the right to exclude a paper from distribution after the conference, including IEEE Xplore® Digital Library, if the paper is not presented by the author at the conference.

    Please note that the deadline for Ready Camera Submissions (IEEE eXpress PDF) is August 13th 2018(Midnight).

    Step 1: Final Paper Preparation and Format

    Please make sure you conform to the formatting guidelines, where Manuscripts must be prepared in 10-point font using the IEEE 8.5" x 11" two-column format. All papers should be in PDF format. A full paper must be Maximum length of 8 pages (including all figures, tables and references).

    Please make use of the appropriate IEEE template for conference proceedings, to prepare your revised manuscript.

    Please, REMOVE IEEE Logo from the footers for the template avalaible from the conference website. DO NOT include the page numbers in the final submission.

    Before creating a pdf, please be sure to add the copyright notice to the bottom –left of the first page of your source document. Instructions about the copyright notice to add can be found below, under the COPYRIGHT INFORMATION section.

    Step 2: IEEE eXpress PDF

    Please note that the Camera Ready paper version needs to be IEEE eXpress PDF compatible, otherwise, your paper will not go ahead for publication. To convert and test your paper is IEEE eXpress Compatible, you need to do it via a conference dedicated URL Link. You will need to follow these instructions:

    • Log in to the IEEE PDF eXpress site:
    • First-time users should do the following:
      1. Select the New Users - Click Here link.
      2. Enter the following:
        • 45345XP for the Conference ID
        • your email address
        • a password
      3. Continue to enter information as prompted. An Online confirmation will be displayed and an email confirmation will be sent verifying your account setup.
    • Previous users of PDF eXpress need to follow the above steps, but should enter the same password that was used for previous conferences. Verify that your contact information is valid.

    Step 3: Final Paper Submission

    You must submit your camera-ready paper, which will include the following:

    1. IEEE eXpress PDF version of your paper
    2. A Word (editable) version of your paper

    IEEE has a strict policy on No-Show. One of the authors or their representatives needs to present the paper at the event. Failure to do so without valid reasons will risk the paper from being included in the IEEE Xplore database.

    No Show Policy

    In case a paper is not presented at the conference, it shall be deemed a “no-show.” No-shows will be removed from post-conference distribution and will not be available on IEEE Xplore or other public-access IEEE forums. No refund of the paid fees can be claimed by the no-show author.

    Exceptions to this policy will be made in rare and unusual situations by the ICASSDA 2018 Organizing Committee only if there is evidence that the no-show occurred because of unanticipated events beyond the control of the authors, and that every option available to the authors to present the paper was exhausted. Authors of no-show papers wishing to appeal the no-show status of their paper must appeal by email to the
